Welcome to Stanthorpe State High School. As principal I am extremely proud of the achievements of our students across our full range of academic, vocational and extra-curricular programs. We have approximately 670 students across years 7-12. These students come to us from all areas of the Granite Belt Region, as far west as Texas, south and east into the New South Wales areas of Tenterfield and Liston and North to Dalveen.
Our staff and students pride themselves on a strong culture of high achievement in a framework of high expectations of self and others.
We offer a diverse curriculum program which recognises the importance of traditional academic subjects as preparation for tertiary entrance along with nationally recognised vocational education and training programs that provide industry standard training for entrance into further training and/or the workforce.
Our year 12 outcomes provide the evidence that the culture of high achievement in a framework of high expectations truly exists. The percentage of our year 12 students graduating having qualified for their Queensland Certificate of Education is above the state average. The percentage of students achieving OPs in the 1-5, 1-10 and 1-15 ranges has been consistently above state average over an extended period of time.
I invite you to investigate further the opportunities that our school offers at any time you wish to make an appointment with one of our Leadership Team. This can be done by contacting our office on 07 4681 5888 during normal working hours.
