As well as welcoming new students to Stanthorpe State High School this year, we give a big warm welcome to our new staff. Many locals will recognise our new Guidance Officer, Mrs Annette Turner, from her primary school teaching years. “I’m excited to be part of the team at Stanthorpe State High School, assisting students in achieving positive academic and personal outcomes” said Mrs Turner. School Chaplain, Mr Darryl Peters, commented that, after living in Stanthorpe for 10 years, being in a role where he can offer a listening ear and support to the school community is a real privilege. As the Business Services Manager, Mr Paul Campbell considers that “My role here at Stanthorpe High in Education Finance is a challenging but very interesting function of the busy school environment, supporting the financial systems used by families and staff.” New teachers Ms Karen Jones and Mr Paul Carige bring a wealth of experience from diverse areas.” I am thrilled to be at Stanthorpe SHS. It has such a great reputation and I am finding it is definitely true - great teachers and great students. It has taken 5 years to get here and it was worth the wait.” said Ms Jones and Mr Carige is enjoying his mixed timetable, working in the Physical Education, Agriculture and Maths departments.
