Real-life Maths

Maths takes many forms in the world of work. A group of Year 11 Maths students went exploring these forms by going to different work environments found at the Queensland College of Wine Tourism. Staff in the office, winery, bistro and kitchen all gave examples of differing maths used in their environments and included the students in calculations that they were currently working on. The students' final calculations involved ratios of chips to cordial to students - that was during morning tea! Thankyou to the QCWT staff for providing this unique learning experience.
