Creative Generation 2014

21/03/2014

This year will be the 10th anniversary of
C-Gen and there will be 1800 student performers participating in the show at the Brisbane Convention Centre in July.

Stanthorpe State High School was offered 15 places in the Core Choir which is highly selective from a total of over 1000 prospective choir singers from state schools all over Queensland.

Rehearsals began this week and the students pictured have just returned following two rigorous days of choir singing.

The students selected to participate this year in Core Choir are Jacob Adsett, Josh Becker, Caitlin Gianini, Emma Beecham, Emily Bass-Drake, Danielle Andreatta, Teneal Hutchin, Michelle Mueller, Darcie Heaven and Naomi Moore.

Justin Markoski received a call back as a stand-alone performer, but while the audition team thought he was worthy of a position in the show, the song choices had already been made and they were unable to find a spot to feature Justin’s guitar skills. Michelle Mueller is anxiously waiting to hear if she was successful in gaining a position in the Symphony Orchestra.

The experienced gained from working with some of Australia’s finest producers, such as Andrew Bee, who has just returned from producing the opening and closing ceremonies for the Sochi Winter Olympics, will remain with these students for years into the future. Congratulations to all of these Core Choir participants.
