Enthusiastic participants - right to left -Patrice, Sophie, Macy and Morgan.

Thirteen Stanthorpe State High School students ranging from Year 7 to Year 12 attended the Border District Swimming Carnival on Tuesday 10th February in Goondiwindi. All students participated to the best of their ability with a number of them achieving personal bests. This is another avenue for students to demonstrate the schools number one priority which is ‘improved student achievement’. Some standout performances included Ben Armbruster in the 13yrs age group, Jacqueline Cantrel (15yrs) and Jesse Wallace (17/18yrs). The students were exceptional in representing themselves and Stanthorpe SHS at this event. The team consisted of the following swimmers:

13yrs: Ben Armbruster, Zach Buckley, Daniel McMeniman, Patrice Hughes

14yrs: Macy Patti, Sophie Whitaker, Morgan O’Brien

15yrs: Zac Knight, Pat Alcock, Jacqueline Cantrel, Courtney Moss

16yrs: Brooke Robertson

17/18yrs: Jesse Wallace

Congratulations to all involved and a big thanks to the following parents for assisting with travel arrangements and supporting the school: Bonita O’Brien, Judy Patti, Kay Knight, Rebecca Alcock, Scott Armbruster, Richard McMeniman, Michele Hughes and Jo Pozzi. Your time is valuable and was much appreciated on this trip.
